Smart Southern Homes is pleased to announce the addition of four new electronic technicians to our team. These engineers have over 30 years of combined experience in various electronic industry capacities. Take a moment to read about our new employee’s backgrounds.

Phil Charette – Engineering and Technology
Phil is a Technical Entrepreneur with over 30 years experience in military and civilian environments. He has an impressive background in diverse technical fields, including software development, satellite communications, computer technology, film production, industrial process control, facilities management, hardware design, security, safety, disaster recovery, recruitment, and training. A technical innovator, with a solid track record, he has specific proven expertise in security, encryption, computer, automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, and communications technologies. Phil holds numerous medals and awards from the US Military, NASA, and the international civilian sector for his outstanding technical achievements. He holds several patents for his computer security products, has written numerous books, and produced a number of films and documentaries.

John Shirkey – Level II Electronics Engineer
John has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering and has 22 years of experience in the electronic instrumentation field including 8 years working with military aircraft instrumentation. For the past 14 years, John has worked on environmental monitoring site design and setup. His expertise and understanding of electronics is invaluable to solving all of our customer’s technology needs.

Kevin Kegley – Level II Electronics Engineeer
With over twenty years of experience in the live production industry, Kevin has worked with sound, lighting and video in hundreds of applications all across the country. He has an associate’s degree in electronics and he has worked in the electronics field for his entire professional career. In addition to home audio and video, Kevin has developed and installed systems for churches, schools, courtrooms, arenas, football fields and boardrooms. With his years of experience working with performers, professionals and home owners, Kevin is ready to make your dreams reality.

Charles Kingsley – Operations and Level II Electronics Engineer
Charles is new to Little Rock and has been in the industry since 2000. He came to us from a custom integrator in Nashville, Tennessee where he worked on some of the finest homes in the area.  “It's an honor for me to be a part of the SSH team” Charles said. “From Tv's to I-pod's, pool speakers to lighting dimmers, I'm ready to help put the COOl in your space”. Charles’s passion for home automation and entertainment systems is apparent in his enthusiasm to assist Arkansas’s homeowners in adding home technology to improve their lifestyle and have fun.
